The Adams Girls Take Chicago!
Earlier this month Emily, Nana (Brent's Mom) and I went to Chicago for a few days. Emily's birthday gift from her Nana and Grandpa was a girls trip to Chicago with a special trip to the American Girl Doll Store. We left very early in the morning and took the train. Emily was beyond excited! When we arrived in Chicago we checked into the hotel and headed out to lunch. The rest of the day we hung and out and did a little site seeing. That night Nana got us tickets for a dinner cruise from Navy Pier. The cruise was so beautiful! The was pretty bad but rather then that it was perfect! There was a DJ and after dinner he played some fun music. Emily was in her glory dancing and singing. The following day we headed to the Shed Aquarium! It was so much fun. That night we ate at the Cheesecake Factory and it was yummy! Our last day there was the big day for Emily. We got to American Girl at around 10am. We spent an hour finding her the perfect doll and the perfect clothes. She decided to name her doll Madeline. (her middle name after my grandmother) at 11:30 we had lunch at the American Girl Doll restaurant. Emily's doll had her own seat and everything. It was very cute and we had a lot of fun! That night we ate at the Rain Forest Café (Emily's choice) before heading to the train to come back home. This trip was so amazing for Emily and I. We got to spend so much quality time together and I loved every second of it :)

Celebrating 7 Years of Emily
Emily turned 7 on May 22nd. How on earth is my baby 7 years old. She is so amazing! She makes me smile every single day with her silly jokes and her sweet smile. I am so proud of the young lady she is turning into. She has an amazing heart and is full of love and compassion! She is excelling in school and dance. Her imagination is like nothing I have ever seen. She is always reading or creating a master piece.
On her birthday she decided that she wanted to go to Crackle Barrel to eat dinner with Brent, Mason, Grandpa, Nana and myself. After dinner we came home for cake.
She decided that wanted a cowgirl birthday party. On Saturday I had about 15 kiddos over to celebrate her birthday. She had a wonderful time with her sweet friends. Her favorite gift was from Nana & Grandpa. In June Emily, Nana & are taking a train ride to Chicago! We will be staying 3 days and doing a lot of fun things! The most fun thing is we are taking Emily to the American Girl doll store so she can pick out her doll then having dinner at the American Girl restaurant. I am very excited too ;)
Recital 2013
Emily's dance recital was the 18tha & 19th of May. The theme this year was "Get Moving." All of the songs had a transportation theme. Emily took tap, ballet and acrobats this year. I can believe how much she has grown over the last year. She has really improved. She has improved so much the dance studio has asked Emily to join their competition team!! I am SO proud of her.
