Say a Prayer for Emily

My little Emily is having her tonsils and adnoids taken out tomorrow as well as getting tubes in her ears. She has had some problems breathing when she sleeps so we went to see an ENT. He said there is no alternative they have to come out. We have to be at the hospital at 5:30AM and her surgery is at 7:30AM. They will keep her at least a night maybe 2 depending on how she is doing.

I tried to explain it to her and she just smiled at me and kissed my nose and said "i love you mom" and ran off to play. I don't know why I am so nervous. These are done everyday all the time. I just don't want her to be scared or be in any pain. I wish I could trade places with her so she never had to experience any type of pain or sadness. I think all of us as parents want that.

I get to go back with her to the pre-op and sit with her while they get her IV started and do her blood work. Then they will give her a little something to make her relax. Then the next part will be so hard for me. They will take her back without me. After she wakes up then I can go back with her.

Today we decided to have and Emily Mommy and Daddy day. We had a great time. We took her to Journey. It's an indoor play center and she had a blast! Here are some fun picture from our day!
