We LOVE Santa

Christmas came and went so fast this year. Matthew came to visit for a couple of days and got to spend some time with us. He is such an awesome brother and I miss him so much. While he was we went to a Cleveland Browns game a froze our butts off. We went with my older brother Nick and his fiance Lindsay. Even the with the wind chill at -22 we had so much fun! Can't wait for him to come back.
Christmas Eve was at our house and Brent's parents came over to have Christmas with us. I spent the day cooking all sorts of yummy food. We always do appetizers on Christmas Eve. Here are some fun pictures from that night.

Christmas morning was all that we expected and more. The kids had so much fun. I think I had more fun by watching them. Emily was so cute to watch. Every gift was her favorite. The pictures speak for them selfes.

Emily opened up her Princess dress trunk and just had to put them on! Daddy loves them ;) She also got matching princess dress up shoes. Too stinkin cute!

And Emily's favorite gift of all.... ELMO LIVE!!!!

My Little Heavy Weight

Mason had his 9 month appointment last Tuesday. He is doing great! And boy is he BIG!!! 24 lbs 14 oz 29 1/2 inches long. He is the size of a 1 year old. He was teesing Brent that we will have to order him a special helmet for football because he is so big.

We went and got our pictures taken....Mason did great. Emily is a different story. 2 1/2 is a really interesting age. She did not want to take ANY pictures! One second she is my sweet little princess the next she is this "that toddler" everyone is starring at. She had a rough couple of weeks but is gradually getting back to her old self.

Dad & Sally's Visit

We have had a very busy house lately. Dad and Sally came and visited last weekend. It was so nice seeing them. I was glad they got to spend some time with the kids too. Emily had a fun time playing with Lollie and Mason did to. Dad is funny with them. He likes holding them but really dosen't get in the floor and play like Lollie. Thats ok though he still gets to enjoy them.

My brother Brad and his wife Kelly have twin boys that are 6 months younger then Emily. She loves Finn & Aydin!!! They play so sweet together and I love that they are so close in age. We celebrated their 2nd birthdays last week. We had so much fun. They are such neat little boys.

Cute Pictures

Just some really cute pictures to share....

Mason fell asleep on the way home the other day and I just laid him down still in his snow suit. He looks like a little fat sleepy bear.
I tried the other night to get some pictures of the kids for our christmas cards....didn't turn out like I wanted. It's hard to get both of them to sit still together or smile together. I probably took 50 pictures and did not get 1 of the 2 of them I could use. But I love some of the ones of them individualy.

Brrrrrrrrr

It is really starting to feeling like winter here. We haven't gotten out of the 30's in the last 2 weeks. A couple of days we have seen some snow. Emily really love the snow. She likes to open her mouth really wide and try to catch it. We have started using the fireplace every night that Brent's home from work. Mason is very very interested in the fire. We really have to watch him. He likes to sit by Brent when he starts them.

Emily likes to blow on the fire with Daddy when it starts to go down.

And So It Has Begun

I officially started my Christmas shopping. Yea!!! Emily has asked Santa for Elmo Live. About 3 weeks ago she became obsessed with Elmo. Just out of the blue. It's actually really cute. I bought her "Elmo's Christmas Countdown" and we watch it probably 5 times a day. She wakes up asking for the Elmo video and goes to sleep asking for it too. It's kinda neat because it's introducing her to Santa a little and she really likes him. We will see how much she likes him when we take her to sit on his lap this year. I am really looking forward to Christmas with her this year. Every year she understands it a little more. I think Mason will just want to eat the paper this year. I could probably get him a box of baby wipes and he would be good to go. He loves playing the box of wipes. Good luck to everyone with their shopping. This is my favorite time of year!

Bath Time Fun

Now that Mason is getting bigger it is easier for me to give them a bath together. With Brent still working afternoon shift at the PD I have to really manage my time well with them. I put them in and let them play for a little while. Emily has taught Mason how to splash and he loves it. They sit in there and just laugh and giggle. I wash Mason up first and get him out. Then Emily. Then Emily loves to run a couple of laps around the house in her diaper. Then both of them get in their pj's and play together the rest of the night. They play so nice together. I love to peek around the corner when they don't see me and just watch them play!

2 More Teeth and Standing Up!!!

Mason is cutting 2 teeth at the same time just like Emily did. He just got his top 2 last week. He did ok... a little ochie and ran a little fever. He looks like a little pumpkin. Then over the weekend I was sitting on the couch watching a football game and he pulled himslef up and held on to the couch. He is really getting to be a big boy. Do any of you other moms feel like your baby is getting way to big to fast. I am just trying to cherish every single second!

Happy Halloween

We celebrated Halloween on Sunday night as well as last night. On Sunday we went over to one of the guys from the PD's house. It was VERY chili out that night. Then last night we went to Cedar Point with my brother Brad his wife Kelly and the kids Allison, Finn and Aydin. The boys were little penguins. They were adorable.

Emily was a Bumblebee this year and little Mason was a pumpkin. They were the cutest bumblebee and pumpkin I have ever seen!!!

Vacation at Mimi's

We spent the last week at my mom & Rick's down in Texarkana. Or as Emily & Mason call them, Mimi & Pappa. We had a blast. This was only the second time that they have gotten to see mason so it was special. Mason took to mom right away! He is definatley a Mimi's boy! She rocked him to sleep everyday at nap time and every night for bed time. He just would light up when ever she was around. If she left the room he followed. It was realy sweet. Pappa kept singing "Davey Crockett" to Mason and he would just smile away.

Emily made 2 new best friends...Mom's dog, Zsa Zsa, & Ryoko. Ryoko is Mom & Rick's forigen exchange student from Japan. She is awesome. The kids loved her and she was such a sweetie!

Brent & Rick spent the week doing manly things...bought a truck, golfed, fished and set up a deer stand for hunting. Fun manly things.

Mom also gave Mason his first hair cut. She did such a great job. He was a little wiggle worm but it turned out adorable.!! First before and then after.

It was a great trip but it made me miss my mom even more! We are hoping she comes up for a visit soon. I know the kids miss you already. But how could you not, she is the BEST!

Emily + Sharpie Marker = DISASTER

Sunday night Emily was quietly playing in her playroom like the sweet little angel she is. I noticed she was being a little to quiet so I decided to check on her. Well her little horns came out because she was sitting on her couch feet proped up and arms behind her head. And below is what I found. Little Miss Emily got a hold of a Sharpie marker....it took 45 minutes of me scrubbing her skin with rubbing alcohol! Gotta love her ;)

Busy

We have been pretty busy at the Adams house. Baby showers and wedding showers galore. One of Brent and I's best friends are getting married in October and my old roomate is having a sweet baby girl in November. Plus with the kids it has been non stop. Brent took Sunday off for my birthday. We had such a fun day. Hung out with the kids all day and then he took me to a romantic dinner overlooking the harbor. After dinner we walked around by the lake holding hands and looking at the boats. Lots of fun. I love him so much!

Mason got his 2nd tooth last week.

6 MONTHS!!!

Mason turned 6 months on the 1st. We went for his 6 month check up this afternoon. He weighed in a a whopping 21 lbs. 3 oz. and 27 1/2 in. long. Yes he is a BIG boy to say the least. He is in the 96th for weight and 90th for height. Doctor says he is a healthy boy. He is doing some fun new things. He likes holding his bottle by himself. (unless he is tired) We introduced the sippy cup a little. He is really starting to grab his toys and they go straight to his mouth. Emily has to be careful because he likes grabbing her hair.

1st Tooth & First OSU Game

Mason's 1st tooth came in today! YEA!!!!! I was so excited. It looks so cute. I knew he had to be teething because he has been a little cranky the last couple of days. Another first for Mason was his first Ohio State game. (outdside of my belly) It was really cute to watch him and Brent watch the game. He actually looked like he was watching the game. GO BUCKS!
