Party Time

We started out the morning with pancakes of Masons name. ( I totally stole the idea from another friend) He loved them. Then I put on is crown that Emily and I made for him. That lasted about 5 seconds. His party started at 1:30. We had it at one of the local hotels in town in their banquetroom. It was so nice to have it there. There was a lot of room for everyone. He got way to many toys but we appreciated all of them. Emily hid when we sang happy birthday. For some reason she hates the happy birthday song. Then it was cake time. He had a blast as you can see. Thanks to call that came and celebrated with us!

Happy Birthday Mason

Today we celebrated Mason 1st birthday. When I woke up this morning I walked over to his crib and watched him sleep. I remembered the day he was born. I played it in my mind and felt my eyes welt up with tears. He has brought such joy and happiness into my life. It's hard when you have two kids because you wonder if you will ever love your second as much as your first. But you do and for different reasons. I love Mason's innocence. His laugh is contagious. If he is not smiling he's crying because he's hungry. He loves to follow his big sister around like a pesky little brother. He loves to rub his face against yours and nestle down into your shoulder. His favorite thing to play with is any type of ball that will bounce. He really enjoys making noises with his mouth and blowing spit bubbles. Bath time is fun time and he likes splashing sissy and mommy. I have to put the toilet paper where he can reach it because I think he thinks it is a big donut or something. He walks like a little giant. He has such a sweet and loving nature to him and I hope that is something that he never looses. Happy Birthday Mason mommy loves you more then you will ever know!
